Geoff J. Seufert
Since graduating from law school in 2006, I have had the privilege to assist clients in all matters affecting the family including divorce, paternity, child support, maintenance, post-judgment matters, child custody and placement issues, and legal separation. I regularly serve as advocate for the best interests of children when appointed by the Circuit Court as a Guardian ad Litem in Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties, and I have expanded my practice more recently to include the Collaborative Divorce process and by assisting families as a Certified Family Mediator.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002. In 2006, I earned my law degree at Wisconsin Law School, graduating cum laude . Admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 2006, I am a member of the State Bar’s Family Law Section, the Waukesha County Bar Association, the Leander J. Foley Matrimonial Chapter of the American Inns of Court, and currently serve on the Board of the Society of Family Lawyers. In my spare time (and when not chasing around a child of limitless energy), I enjoy music, cycling, kayaking, Tuscan cooking, and volunteering at the Waukesha County Family Court Legal Clinic.
Prior to joining Phillips & Gemignani in September 2010, I represented clients of limited means as a staff attorney at Nonprofit Legal Services of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc., focusing my work in the areas of family law, criminal defense, landlord-tenant law, and civil litigation.
